During Steve's first stint with Trust Quartet and being the one with the responsibility of the website, we tried to provide a monthly update on this page about the various happenings with Trust Quartet. When he returned to the group in June of this year, it was during the 'off-season', so to speak. There was time set aside for rehearsals, a recording project, and more rehearsals. Followed by more rehearsals!
We had our sights set on being as prepared for the recording project as possible, and then hit the concert ground running hard with FGMA over the Labor Day weekend. So far, so good!
The very next weekend, we were set to do a POPCORN concert with our friends Gulf State and Simple Faith quartets but Hurricane Irma had a different agenda.
We were scheduled to sing in Bartow the next weekend, but thanks to a hospital stay by our fearless leader, we had to ask the folks at Christian Home FWB to allow us to reschedule that one.
The next concert on the schedule wasn't until October 15, so it gave Buzz an opportunity to recoup from his hospital visit a bit more and allowed the rest of us to take care of some other business as well.
Here's a brief update: Buzz, at some point, has had a stroke. While not a debilitating one, for which we are SO thankful, it has slowed him just a bit. If you see us in concert now, you may see him sit on his stool a little more than he'd like, but we're thankful he's still driving the bus and hitting the low notes!
You may recall in an earlier edition of the Trust-Worthy News, that Spence and Karen were expecting a total loss of their R/V home. It was indeed rendered a total loss, but God has graciously provided another place in Wauchula for them to live and call home. Please give praise to God with us for His blessing and provision and also continue to pray with us in their smooth transition.
Including in this post will be another prayer request / need. It will also be included in other places on the website so it won't get 'lost' among other things. We are praying that God would provide someone to help us drive the bus and with load in / out. Jeff Mohr did such an incredible job with that, but since he's not able to travel with us like he once did, we are diligently searching for someone who would be interested in making this their ministry with us. Thank you for helping us pray and get the word out for this need.
Through all the twists and turns of life, God has a plan. We may not always understand His plan, but we must always be willing to follow the plan He has for us. Would you help us pray that we are always striving to follow His plan? Thank you so much. We knew we could count on you!!
